Solar panel electricity

It's time to GET Solar

Want to cut your electricity bills? Reduce your CO2 emissions?

Solar panel electricity systems, also know as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells. These panels convert the energy into electricity and provide commercial and domestic customers with the following benefits:

  • Cheaper electricity bills – sunlight is free, so once your panels have been installed, you should start to see your electricity bills drop
  • Earn revenue for what you generate – the government’s Feed-in Tariffs scheme means you actually get paid for the electricity you produce, even if you use it
  • Reduced CO2 emissions – solar electricity is green renewable energy. A typical home solar PV system could save over a tonne of carbon dioxide a year – that's more than 30 tonnes over its lifetime (Energy Saving Trust)

Thermal collectors - what are they?

They convert solar heat into stored hot water and can be used as pre-heat for heating systems. They:

Hybrid PVT solar panels - what are they?

This particular panel is a combined PV panel with a thermal collector that produces electricity and heat. It offers the same advantages as PV and thermal collectors with these added advantages:

    • Generate a higher electricity output than a standard PV panel
    • Maximise available roof space
    • Eligible for Feed-in Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
    • Lower installation costs

Hybrid solar solution

The British designed carbon neutral heating and hot water system offers the same advantages of PVT with the addition of:

  • Being an all year round solution
  • Significantly increased electricity production
  • Fastest payback of all renewable heating systems
  • Low maintenance and user friendly
  • Solutions that optimise efficiency and save space and money

Funding methods

Commercial premises

There are two different funding options to choose from:

  1. Free fitting (subject to applicants fully meeting the subsidy criteria)
  2. Take up a lease purchase plan that can be repaid up to 12 years after the installation has taken place

Domestic premises

Our funding options have been designed to suit all circumstances. Applicants can:

  1. Have the solar PV technology fitted for free (subject to them fully meeting the subsidy criteria)
  2. Take advantage of our finance facilities that offer rates that are lower than many of the high street banks and lenders
